About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve sales performance for products and retailers. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone and report to stores within specified deadlines. They complete weekly display scanning throughout the store and may also perform custom projects that gather more specific information about products in main stocking locations. While scanning, associates are asked to provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The position involves recurring weekly store visits for 52 weeks per year, including holiday weeks. Base hours average 5–11 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned during the year, with higher demand from January through June. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to client requirements and weekly deadlines. Continuous physical activity is required throughout the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
