About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to collect in-store product data. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, associates scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps, and report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve the sales performance of products and retailers.

Associates complete weekly display scans across their assigned stores and may perform Custom Projects that provide more detailed information about products in main stocking locations. Work is performed to weekly deadlines, including during holiday weeks, throughout the year. The base workload averages 2–6 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, balanced with dependable, deadline-driven work. It involves continuous physical activity throughout the shift and travel between assigned stores. This is a permanent part-time position in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum auto insurance coverage required by the state.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout stores.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Must be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Must have attention to detail and be able to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
