About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They collect data used to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The position involves weekly data collection at assigned retailers throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates complete display scanning across the entire store and may also work on custom projects that gather more specific information about products in main stocking locations. Custom projects occur almost every week and typically add 1–2 hours per store during those weeks. Meeting deadlines and delivering accurate, dependable work are critical. Base hours average 4.5–10.5 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 per store per week, may be assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours, subject to personal scheduling needs and client requirements. The position is permanent and part-time. Routes listed include stores in Annandale, Falls Church, Fairfax, and Burke, Virginia, with available workdays varying by store. The role requires sustained physical activity, including standing, reaching, bending, stretching, stooping, and repetitive movements.
