About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role involves visiting assigned stores every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, and meeting weekly deadlines. Display scanning is completed throughout the store and may take several hours. Custom Projects, which request more specific product details in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and may add one to two hours per store. Base hours average 4.5–10.5 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload; additional project hours are frequently assigned, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The position offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling. It requires continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift. The role is permanent and part-time.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
