About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to collect data used to improve product and retailer sales performance. They also provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role involves weekly display scanning across the entire store and occasional custom projects that gather more specific product details in primary stocking locations. Custom projects occur almost every week and typically add 1–2 hours for each store during those weeks. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and work dependably and accurately. The position is permanent and part-time, with base hours averaging 3–6 hours per week across all stores; additional project hours are frequently assigned, especially from January through June. Work is scheduled throughout the year, including holiday weeks.

The designated route in Marion, Virginia, includes a drug store available on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday and a grocery store available on Wednesday or Thursday. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to client requirements. The work involves continuous physical activity throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle with at least the minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
