About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. The position averages 4–5 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Custom Projects may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store in a given week. Associates must meet weekly store deadlines. The position offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours, while requiring continuous physical activity during shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum auto insurance coverage required by the state.
Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
Be tech savvy.

Responsibilities
