About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. They use a downloadable mobile-phone app to collect data that is analyzed to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates are also asked to provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

This permanent part-time position averages 6–11 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Associates report to stores within specified deadlines and complete weekly display scanning throughout each store. Custom Projects requesting more detailed information about products in main stocking locations occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours per store in those weeks. Work is scheduled across assigned stores and routes, with full scheduling details reviewed during the interview. Assignments run for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.

The role offers independence and some flexibility in work hours, alongside continuous physical activity throughout the workday. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and provide dependable, quality-driven work. Routes listed include stores in La Marque, Texas City, and Alvin, Texas, with available workdays varying by store.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
