About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They report the data, including quantities for about 45% of scanned products, which is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The weekly work includes scanning displays throughout the store and may take several hours. Custom Projects, which request more detailed information about products in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours per store in a given week. Associates must meet weekly store deadlines. The position offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours, alongside continuous physical activity during the workday.

This is a permanent part-time role averaging 6–13 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Specific scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. Routes include grocery, mass merchandise, and convenience stores in the Houston and Tomball, Texas areas.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
