About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve sales performance for products and retailers. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone and are asked to provide quantities for about 45% of the products they scan.

Associates report to assigned stores by specified deadlines and complete display scanning throughout the store each week. Client-requested Custom Projects, which occur almost every week, involve gathering additional product details in main stocking locations and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store in a given week. Dependability and meeting weekly deadlines are essential. The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, with continuous physical activity throughout the workday.

This is a permanent part-time position serving a convenience store route in Rio Grande City, Texas. Base hours average 2.5 hours biweekly across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically one to two hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. The position involves work at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
