About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also provide quantities for about 45% of scanned products. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates complete weekly Display Scanning throughout each assigned store, which can take several hours. Clients also frequently request Custom Projects that gather more specific product details in main stocking locations. These projects occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet store deadlines and deliver accurate data. The permanent part-time role averages 2–6 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with greater demand from January through June. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility, and involves continuous physical activity during work shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
Be tech savvy.
