About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes throughout each store and provide quantity information for about 45% of scanned products.

Associates perform in-store data collection at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Weekly work includes scanning displays throughout the store, which can take several hours, and may include Custom Projects that request more specific details about products in main stocking locations. These projects occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store in those weeks. Associates must meet store deadlines and deliver dependable, quality-driven work.

This is a permanent part-time position averaging 2–6 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. The role involves continuous physical activity during the work shift and offers some independence and flexibility in scheduling. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
