About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone and are asked to provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role covers assigned stores each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Weekly display scanning can take several hours per store. Custom Projects, which request more specific product details in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and deliver reliable, quality-driven work.

This is a permanent part-time position with base hours averaging 2–5 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. The route lists a grocery store in Pocahontas, Iowa, available Wednesday and Thursday, and a convenience store in Goldfield, Iowa, available Sunday through Thursday. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The position offers independence and some flexibility, with continuous physical activity during the work shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and meet the state's minimum auto insurance coverage requirements.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
