About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve sales performance for products and retailers. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role covers assigned stores on a weekly basis for 52 weeks per year, including holiday weeks. Full-store display scanning is required every week and may take several hours. Custom Projects, requested by clients for more detailed information about products in primary stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and are expected to work independently and reliably. The position involves continuous physical activity throughout the shift.

This is a permanent part-time position averaging 5–12 base hours per week across stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The position provides some flexibility in hours, subject to personal scheduling needs and client requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
