About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan products and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete weekly display scanning throughout each assigned store and may perform Custom Projects that provide additional product details in main stocking locations. Custom Projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and work dependably and accurately. The assigned stores are in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and available workdays vary by store. Work is required throughout the year, including holiday weeks.

This is a permanent part-time role averaging 4–8 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours, while involving continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
