About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phones and are asked to provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role covers grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores, including national chains and independent retailers. Associates complete display scanning across the entire store each week, which may take several hours, and may perform custom projects that typically add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store in a given week. Work is scheduled to weekly deadlines, year-round for 52 weeks, including holiday weeks.

This permanent part-time position averages 4–10 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours, alongside continuous physical activity during the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
