About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to collect in-store product data. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, associates scan barcodes on products in displays and aisle locations throughout the store, including aisle end caps. Associates also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role covers designated stores and requires completing weekly Display Scanning across the entire store, which can take several hours. Custom Projects requested by clients occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Associates must meet store deadlines and work reliably and accurately. Work is scheduled throughout the year for 52 weeks, including holiday weeks.

The position offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, with scheduling shaped by personal availability and client requirements. Base hours average 6–8 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with greater demand from January through June. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The route includes stores in Holland and Douglas, Michigan, with available workdays of Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum auto insurance coverage required by the state.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout stores.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
