About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits assigned local retail stores each week to collect product data by scanning barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan products and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

Associates complete weekly Display Scanning throughout the store, which can take several hours, and may also complete Custom Projects requested by clients. These projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. The role covers assigned stores for 52 weeks per year, including holiday weeks, and requires meeting weekly deadlines.

This permanent part-time position averages 2–5 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to store deadlines and client requirements. The route includes a convenience store in North Platte, Nebraska, and a grocery store in Gothenburg, Nebraska.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
