About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan products and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. Collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete weekly Display Scanning throughout each assigned store, along with Custom Projects that clients frequently request for additional product details in main stocking locations. Custom Projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store in a given week. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and perform work dependably and accurately. The role involves visiting stores every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.

This permanent part-time position averages 6–11 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. The role offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to client requirements. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
