About The Position

Nordstrom Rack Retail Sales Support team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and provide customers with a quick, easy experience. Team members help keep the store clean and clutter-free and may work in different store areas. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the sales floor runway-ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, sorting and returning clothing, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards, and promoting programs such as Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight and merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, backroom organization, markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The position requires schedule flexibility based on business needs and involves continuous movement and physical handling of merchandise.

Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive customer environment.
Keep the store clean and clutter-free and assist customers in finding merchandise.
Keep the sales floor runway-ready through re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating point-of-sale systems, bagging items, and handling bulky or heavy items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Sort and return clothing to create a clean and clutter-free customer experience.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
