About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and provide customers with a quick, easy experience. The role involves keeping the store clean and clutter-free and may require working in different areas of the store, including Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, supporting fitting rooms, returning clothing to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, keeping selling floors and stockrooms organized, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, backroom organization, and fixture relocation. The role requires flexibility to work a schedule based on business needs and involves frequent physical activity and lifting.

Ability to move continuously for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles: ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers.
Keep the store clean and clutter-free and help customers find merchandise.
Keep the sales floor ready by re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using a point-of-sale system; bag items and handle bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting rooms by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean customer experience.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver new arrivals to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
