About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for its Sales and Stock departments. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, support a quick and easy customer experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different store areas as needed, including sales floors, fitting rooms, stockrooms, and fulfillment operations. Sales and customer service duties include keeping the sales floor stocked and presentable through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bagging merchandise and handling bulky or heavy items; supporting customers in fitting rooms; returning clothing to the sales floor; organizing stockrooms; checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock support and fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling customer orders, preparing and shipping orders, and using inventory management systems to scan, process, and research shipments. Team members also help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms and provide general store support, such as preparing special events, organizing backrooms, marking down merchandise, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and use of hands. General duties involve regularly lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment duties involve frequently lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The listed hourly pay range is $16.05–$16.70; offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor stocked, sized, and presentable through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist with customer transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms using point-of-sale systems; bag merchandise and provide a friendly customer experience.
Support fitting room customers and sort and return clothing to the sales floor.
Keep the customer area clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate proficiency with technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
