About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a seasonal team member for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, or Fulfillment. The role works in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment, collaborating with teammates to provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, a quick and easy customer experience, and a clean, clutter-free store. Team members may occasionally work in different areas of the store based on business needs. Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning clothing to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to scan and research shipments, keeping selling floors and stockrooms organized, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, and fixture relocation. The position requires continuous movement, frequent lifting and handling of merchandise, and a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging merchandise, and handling bulky or heavy items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and prepare them for shipment in accordance with quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
