About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring for regular Sales and seasonal Stock departments at its Scottsdale Promenade Rack location. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and provide customers with a quick, easy experience. The role may involve working in different areas of the store to help customers, maintain clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and support merchandise and order fulfillment. Sales and customer service duties include keeping the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting room operations, sorting and returning clothing, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock support and fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling customer orders, preparing and shipping orders, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized areas, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating fixtures.

Ability to move continuously for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment only: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using a point-of-sale system; bag items and handle bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep customer areas clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use technologies required in the store environment and follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
