About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring Seasonal and Regular Retail Sales Floor Support team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, support a quick and easy customer experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different store areas as needed. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operating point-of-sale systems; bagging merchandise; supporting fitting rooms; returning clothing to the salesfloor; organizing stockrooms; checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling customer orders, preparing and shipping orders, using inventory management systems to scan and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing backrooms, marking down merchandise, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use. Employees handle bulky items and regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The listed hourly pay range is $15.75–$16.35; pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating point-of-sale systems and bagging merchandise.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and help customers find merchandise.
