About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. The role supports a quick and easy customer experience and keeps the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work in different areas of the store to maintain the sales floor and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. The position includes maintaining a well-presented sales floor through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, and supporting fitting rooms. Team members also organize stockrooms, check in and ticket merchandise accurately, use store technologies, follow operational and asset protection standards, and promote Nordstrom Rewards. The role requires continuous movement and physical handling of merchandise during shifts.

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Work with the team to keep the sales floor runway ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms using a point-of-sale system.
Bag items of all sizes and handle bulky, sometimes heavy items while providing a seamless and friendly customer experience.
Support fitting rooms by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
