About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal and regular Retail Sales Floor Support team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments at Tacoma Mall Rack. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, support a quick and easy customer experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain the sales floor and stockrooms and assist customers. Applicants can discuss which role interests them during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes maintaining a runway-ready sales floor, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning merchandise to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory management systems, maintaining clean and organized spaces, and providing general store support. The position requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and handling merchandise. The posted hourly pay range is $22.55–$23.45, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor sized, filled, straightened, and runway-ready through re-merchandising.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system and bagging merchandise.
Support fitting room customers and sort and return clothing to the sales floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, such as setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
