About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. You may work in different areas of the store to maintain the sales floor and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their area of interest during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning clothing to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight and merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory management systems, maintaining organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, processing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift. The stated pay range is $21.00–$21.85 per hour; offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms using a point-of-sale system; bag items and handle bulky or heavy items while providing friendly service.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived goods to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
