About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal and regular Retail Sales Floor Support team members for its Tacoma Mall location. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide a quick and easy customer experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Employees may occasionally work in different areas of the store based on business needs. Sales and Customer Service work includes maintaining and replenishing the sales floor, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, organizing merchandise and stockrooms, and following store standards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and moving merchandise, fulfilling and shipping orders, using inventory systems, and providing general store support. The posted hourly pay range is $22.55–$23.45; offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway ready through re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishment.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag merchandise and handle bulky items while providing a friendly experience.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate proficiency with technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean, organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
