About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for its Sales, Fulfillment, and Stock departments. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with colleagues, help create a welcoming customer atmosphere, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different areas of the store to maintain sales floors and stockrooms and assist customers. Sales and customer service duties include keeping the sales floor organized and stocked, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting room operations, returning clothing to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, and checking in and ticketing merchandise. Team members use store technologies, follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards, and promote initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, and using inventory management systems to scan, process, and research shipments. Team members also help maintain clean, organized selling floors and stockrooms and provide general store support, such as setting up events, organizing backrooms, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching, frequent hand use, and handling merchandise that may be bulky or awkward. Employees regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The stated hourly pay range is $16.40–$17.10. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway-ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating point-of-sale systems, bagging items, and handling bulky or heavy items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Sort and return clothing to create a clean and clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
