About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. They help provide a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work in different areas of the store to maintain clean sales floors and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; candidates can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning merchandise to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, using store technologies, following operational and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, backroom organization, and moving fixtures. The posted hourly pay range is $17.05–$17.75. Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise.
Assist customers with transactions in store, online, and on mobile platforms; operate point-of-sale systems, bag merchandise, and provide a friendly experience.
Support fitting rooms by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning merchandise to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
