About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. They help provide a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work across different store areas to maintain sales floors and stockrooms and help customers. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their area of interest during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the sales floor organized, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; supporting fitting room customers; sorting and returning clothing; organizing stockrooms; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight and merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing backrooms, markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The position requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and frequent handling of merchandise. Stock and Fulfillment roles have additional lifting requirements. The stated pay range is $17.45–$18.15 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Ability to regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway-ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating point-of-sale systems and bagging items.
Provide a friendly customer experience while handling bulky or sometimes heavy items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Keep the customer area clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver new arrivals to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and in accordance with quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
