About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a Seasonal Retail Sales Support team member for its Westgate Mall location. This fast-paced role involves collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere, provide customers with a quick and easy shopping experience, and keep the store clean and organized. Team members may work across Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment, with the specific role discussed during the interview process. Flexibility to assist in different areas of the store may be needed. Depending on the assigned area, duties include maintaining and replenishing the salesfloor, assisting customers with transactions and fitting rooms, organizing stockrooms, receiving and processing merchandise, and fulfilling and shipping customer orders. The role requires demonstrating proficiency with store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and supporting general store needs. This position requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and handling merchandise, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and lifting. The listed hourly pay range is $21.00–$21.85. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers.
Keep the store clean and clutter-free, including salesfloors and stockrooms.
Maintain a salesfloor that is runway ready by re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishing merchandise.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag items and handle bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers, sorting clothing, and returning items to the salesfloor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Provide general store support, such as setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
