About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal Retail Sales Support team members for the Westgate Mall Rack. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide a quick and easy customer experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, or Fulfillment and may occasionally support different areas of the store. Sales and Customer Service duties include maintaining and replenishing the salesfloor, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting room operations, returning merchandise to the salesfloor, organizing stockrooms, accurately checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, backroom organization, markdowns, and fixture relocation. The pay range is $21.00–$21.85 per hour. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Benefits and eligibility depend on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.

Ability to meet the physical requirements, including continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift; frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use; handling bulky or awkward items and reaching above the head; regularly lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment roles frequently require lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor sized, filled, and orderly through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag items and handle bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, marking down merchandise, and relocating store fixtures.
