About The Position

As a Retail Sales Specialist at Spectrum, you will represent the company and promote and sell its products and services to new and existing customers. The role focuses on improving the customer experience and supporting exceptional customer care at each store location. Pay is $18.00 per hour base, with the potential to earn $22.95 per hour through commission and incentives. The company also offers free and discounted internet, TV, and mobile services.

This position requires a flexible schedule and regular attendance. Work takes place in a moderately noisy retail environment and includes prolonged standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and following Spectrum’s dress code.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate payment transactions.
• Comfort using personal technology, including mobile devices and video platforms, and proficiency with computer applications.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks, and handle change effectively.
• Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Effective communication with employees and customers in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building partnerships across the organization.
• Self-motivation, a competitive spirit, and a desire to exceed sales goals.
• Positive and professional demeanor, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the customer experience while meeting sales, service, and operational goals.
• Identify sales opportunities and create customer experiences through product support and education.
• Build positive customer relationships, listen effectively, overcome objections, and communicate the value of Spectrum products.
• Maintain knowledge of Spectrum products, pricing, promotions, and visual standards while minimizing product losses.
• Maintain a welcoming store atmosphere and deliver a clean retail experience.
• Communicate effectively, adhere to policies, resolve issues, and participate in training programs.
