About The Position

Donations Sorters/Pricers are the “face of Goodwill” to donors. They are team-oriented, friendly, and go out of their way to help donors. The role involves receiving and evaluating donated merchandise, pricing it appropriately, and providing helpful service in a fast-paced environment. Associates should make work a priority and take pride in meeting high expectations and maintaining an efficient work area. The position may include cross-training in cash register duties and in hanging, inspecting, and tagging textiles and clothing in a production-style setting.

Requirements

• Able to lift incoming donations weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently lift and carry 10 to 35 pounds; may occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Team-oriented and friendly, with a commitment to helping donors.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet high expectations.
• Available to work most store hours, especially evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or similar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and unload donated goods.
• Provide friendly, informed customer service to donors and assist with receipts.
• Evaluate donated merchandise and price it appropriately.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and efficient work environment.
• May cross-train in cash register duties and in hanging, inspecting, and tagging textiles and clothing.
