About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate works closely with team members and reports directly to the Retail Manager. The role focuses on helping customers determine their needs and ensuring the store is appropriately stocked with merchandise. The position is primarily based in a retail environment, with occasional outdoor exposure and frequent interaction with customers, employees, and vendors. It is a full-time role that includes weekends and holidays and may involve travel to multiple store locations for oversight and training.

Requirements

High school diploma.
1–3 years of retail experience.
Work experience as a Retail Sales Associate, Sales Representative, or in a similar role.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
Excellent communication skills.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to upsell.
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent sales service to support high levels of customer satisfaction.
Assess customers’ needs and explain product features and available options.
Welcome customers and answer their questions.
Drive sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling, and product knowledge.
Meet department sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Maintain in-stock merchandise and assist with inventory, receiving, and stocking.
Process point-of-sale purchases and handle merchandise returns.
Build productive, trusting relationships with customers.
Follow inventory control procedures.
Notify clientele about preferred customer sales and merchandise that may interest them.
Support store operations and staff, manage inventory in storage areas and on the sales floor, and follow safety and security protocols.
Travel to multiple store locations for oversight and training when needed.
