About The Position

The Retail Sales Clerk helps ensure customers receive a high-quality experience in Russell Stover retail stores. The role involves welcoming customers, providing courteous and efficient service, assisting with product selections, and accurately processing payments. The clerk also helps prepare and supervise regular in-house production of items such as caramel apples and fudge, stocks merchandise, performs merchandising and cleaning activities, and completes other tasks as directed. A flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be able to constantly stand, bend, reach, and work with hands.
Be able to lift up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Customer service experience.
Cash handling experience.
12 months of experience in a retail, restaurant, or fast-food environment.
Experience operating a cash register.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and coworkers.
Desire to be part of a performance-driven team.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers by greeting them.
Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service.
Help customers select products by sharing information, building confidence, and offering suggestions.
Total purchases and process payments by check, cash, and credit card.
Prepare and supervise regular in-house production of items such as caramel apples and fudge.
Unload, receive, and stock merchandise.
Carry out merchandising activities.
Perform regular cleaning activities and other required tasks.
Contribute to team efforts by completing a variety of assigned tasks.
