About The Position

As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services. You engage customers on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, use product knowledge and smart selling behaviors to meet sales goals, and help build customer trust and loyalty. The role also involves keeping the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, top sellers, trends, and promotions, and ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers. Throughout the day, they build relationships through friendly, personal conversations; maintain a shoppable space by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and vendor returns, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves; and share loyalty program benefits while ensuring customers leave with what they need. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability.
