About The Position

POP MART is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to create memorable shopping experiences and represent the brand. The associate builds genuine customer connections, shares knowledge about POP MART’s story, artists, characters, products, promotions, and membership program, and supports store performance through personalized recommendations and sales. The role includes explaining collectible products and culture, processing purchases and returns, assisting with shipments and inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming store. Associates collaborate with teammates and may cross-train to support Robo Shop vending-machine replenishment and inventory processes as business needs require. The position is based in SoHo and pays $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least 1 year of customer-facing retail, hospitality, entertainment, or service-industry experience preferred.
Passion for customer service and creating memorable experiences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage customers from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to build rapport quickly and confidently recommend products.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
Comfort learning technology, point-of-sale systems, and operational processes.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Flexible availability to support business needs, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6–8 hours per shift; and frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and safely climb ladders or step stools.
Ability to perform repetitive stocking, unpacking, pricing, and inventory organization tasks and operate standard retail equipment and stockroom tools, including handheld scanners, box cutters, and ladders.

Interest in collectibles, designer toys, art, anime, gaming, fashion, or pop culture is strongly preferred.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests, deliver exceptional customer service, and build authentic customer relationships.
Represent POP MART by sharing its story, artist collaborations, characters, collections, promotions, and membership program.
Educate customers about Blind Boxes, MEGA Collections, accessories, limited editions, and new product launches.
Identify customer needs, recommend products, upsell complementary merchandise, and work toward individual and store sales goals.
Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and loyalty transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
Receive shipments, replenish merchandise, organize inventory, and maintain stockroom accuracy.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and presentation throughout the sales floor and backroom.
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and operational best practices.
Collaborate with teammates to achieve sales goals, operational objectives, and a strong customer experience.
Cross-train to support Robo Shop vending-machine replenishment and inventory processes as business needs require.
Follow company policies, cash-handling procedures, and loss-prevention standards.
