About The Position

DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a Retail Sales Associate Apparel to help create an exceptional shopping experience for customers. The role involves proactively assisting customers, applying product knowledge, maintaining merchandising and presentation standards, promoting company programs, and supporting store operations. The associate is expected to contribute to an inclusive, respectful environment and collaborate with teammates across the store.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and repetitively lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs. up to 25 times per hour.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of up to 4 hours.
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of up to 2 hours continuously.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Follow established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards.
• Promote company programs, including customer loyalty participation, warranty sales, and private label credit card enrollment.
• Follow policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain the confidentiality of Company information.
• Help create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
• Support the team across the store with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
