About The Position

At DICK’S Sporting Goods, store teammates help create an exceptional shopping experience through eagerness to help, product knowledge, high brand and execution standards, and effective prioritization. The Retail Sales Associate Apparel role supports customers by understanding their needs, helping them shop, maintaining merchandising standards, promoting company programs, and contributing to a welcoming and safe store environment. Teammates may also support other areas of the store and perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and repeatedly lift items weighing 15 to 35 pounds, up to 25 times per hour.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 4 hours.
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods, up to 2 hours continuously.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Maintain company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
• Promote company programs, including customer loyalty participation, warranty sales, and private-label credit card enrollment.
• Follow policies and procedures for safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain the confidentiality of company information.
• Help create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
• Support the team across the store as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
