About The Position

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Retail Sales Associate for Apparel/Softlines. Store teammates help create an exceptional shopping experience through eagerness to help, product knowledge, high brand and execution standards, and the ability to prioritize. The role involves assisting customers, maintaining merchandising and presentation standards, promoting company programs, following safety and loss-prevention procedures, and supporting the store team. Teammates are expected to help create an inclusive environment where customers and colleagues feel welcome, safe, and respected.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and repetitively lift items weighing 15 to 35 pounds, up to 25 times per hour.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 4 hours.
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods, up to 2 hours continuously.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Maintain company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
• Promote company programs, including customer loyalty participation, warranty sales, and private-label credit card enrollment.
• Follow established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain the confidentiality of Company information.
• Help create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
• Support the team across the store with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
