About The Position

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) seeks a Sales Associate for its Marine Corps Exchange stores. The role provides customer service and sales support throughout the store, creating a “Dress Blue Experience” that encourages customers to return. Associates may be assigned to checkout, a sales area, a specialty category, or the customer service desk, and are responsible for personal and department sales goals. The position involves helping customers locate, select, and purchase merchandise; processing sales and returns; handling payments and a change fund; and maintaining the merchandising, display, and appearance of assigned areas. Depending on assignment, duties may include food-handling training, customer-service transactions such as Western Union, light custodial work, stocking, planograms, price changes, and inventory counts. Firearms/ammunition positions have additional background and certification requirements, while gas-station positions may involve outdoor work, fuel-lane maintenance, and hazardous-material handling. This is a mixed position requiring the ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds independently and objects over 45 pounds with assistance. Appointees may be changed to part-time or full-time at management’s discretion. Employment is contingent on applicable background checks, and direct deposit is mandatory.
