Seasonal Retail Sales and Recovery Associate, Bellingham Bellis Fair
About The Position
As a Retail Sales & Recovery Colleague, you help create a welcoming shopping experience through genuine hospitality and attention to detail. You keep the store clean, organized, and visually engaging by maintaining merchandise displays, tidying fitting rooms, and keeping the sales floor customer-ready. Through a friendly, approachable manner and consistent service, you help customers feel welcome and support your team in achieving sales goals. Colleagues prepare the sales floor for customers, review goals and information about new arrivals, top sellers, and promotions, and engage customers with warm, personal conversations. During the day, they recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. They share Loyalty program benefits, help customers with their purchases, and close interactions with a sincere thank-you. Teamwork, care, collaboration, continuous improvement, and pride in work contribute to individual and store results. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability; full-time colleagues are typically scheduled 30 or more hours per week and part-time colleagues 12–24 hours per week.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Have flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Be resourceful, adaptable to changing priorities, able to work independently, and effective in a team.
- Be able to use electronic devices, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
- Meet the physical demands of talking, lifting, frequent movement, standing, and reaching; stand for at least two consecutive hours; lift at least 25 pounds; stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders; and reach, including above eye level.
- Have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequently use computers and other technology needed to perform job functions.
