About The Position

Guitar Center’s Retail Operations Associate supports store operations by shipping and receiving stock and shipments, handling daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to create a great customer experience. The role involves inventory control, cycle counting, stocking and merchandising to planograms, signage and price sign placement, cash handling, and shrink awareness and control.

Successful candidates collaborate and build good working relationships, focus on delivering excellent customer service, take initiative, and manage priorities with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. They learn and follow protocols, protect people and assets, and use retail technology and systems to meet communication, customer service, and business needs. The position requires working in a loud environment for 5–8 hours, as well as availability for weekends, holidays, and evenings, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare for and execute cycle counts of inventory.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain shrink awareness and control.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
