About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling inventory and shipments, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a positive store experience. The role works in a collaborative, customer-focused environment and calls for initiative, strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and use retail technology and systems. Responsibilities include inventory control, shipping and receiving, cycle counts, stocking and merchandising to planograms, signage and price-label placement, cash handling, and shrink awareness and control.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships.
Customer-service orientation and ability to provide a positive customer experience.
Initiative, ability to learn quickly, and interest in learning about the entire business.
Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to inventory control.
Ship and receive gear and other items.
Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
Handle cash.
Support shrink awareness and control.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
