About The Position

Guitar Center’s Retail Operations Associate supports store operations by handling inventory and shipments, completing daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a positive store experience. The role involves collaboration, customer service, initiative, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and use retail technology and systems. Employees who are musicians may be eligible for gig leave to take time off to tour and return to their job.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
Customer-service orientation and ability to provide an excellent customer experience.
Initiative and ability to learn quickly and take action independently.
Organizational skills, including prioritization, multitasking, attention to detail, and timely completion of tasks.
Ability to learn and use technology, retail systems, equipment, and computer programs.
Ability to learn and follow protocols and guidelines to protect people and assets.

Responsibilities

Handle tasks related to inventory control.
Ship and receive gear and other items.
Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
Handle cash.
Maintain awareness of and help control shrink.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
