(4PM-10pm) Retail Merchandise Associate/Cashier
About The Position
The Retail Merchandise Associate/Cashier is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes accurately processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and participating in store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts. The associate contributes to a positive store culture, follows safety and labor policies, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers while following established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide the correct change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
