About The Position

As a Fitting Room Colleague, you help deliver a positive Macy’s shopping experience by clearing fitting room stalls, sorting merchandise for return to the selling floor, and placing merchandise in the correct area according to Macy’s merchandising standards. You also perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
• Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, distinguish colors, and climb ladders as needed.
• Ability to frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld electronic equipment.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Check fitting room stalls and sort merchandise onto racks according to the store’s sorting process.
• Ensure merchandise is on the appropriate hanger with a size ring that matches the garment size.
• Ensure merchandise is floor-ready and return it to the sales floor as time permits.
• Maintain a clean, neat, easy-to-shop store environment and high customer-readiness standards.
• Attend to customer service needs in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Follow shortage programs and procedures.
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
