About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a seasonal team member to support Sales, Customer Service, Stock, or Fulfillment. The position involves working in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment, collaborating with teammates, and creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. Team members help provide a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Flexibility is important, as employees may work in different store areas to maintain sales floors and stockrooms and help customers.

Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway-ready through re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; operate the point-of-sale system, bag items, and handle bulky or heavy items while providing friendly service.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and in accordance with quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
